You made a very important observation in your idea, the importance of getting: "elementary kids to start exercising and enjoy exercising so that they will continue as middle and high school students."
Think of the parents who literally throw their children in the water to get them to start swimming. My great, great uncle who put a tennis racket in his daughter's hands when she was eight (maybe it was younger). Shirley became a world champion. I started jump rope at 10, and am still at it, stronger than ever, at 23.
Pee wee football, T-ball, hoops in Indiana. The importance of starting kids when they're young! I can tell from the time a kid picks up his first rope, there's a friend or an older brother or sister or parent with a record sheet, counting the number of jumps per minute, clicker in one hand and clock with a second hand on the wall.
