At three PTA meetings we emphasised health and fitness. Each meeting had a exercise component and a healthy eating component. We would like to do this again this year if we have financial backing.
First meeting: Fruits and Vegetables and Dance Dance Revolution
Second meeting: Portion Control and atheletic shoe education and give away
Third meeting: Water comparision and giveaway and pedometers
Reason:
This project reached out to the entire families of our students. The parents and students were given the opportunity to participate in healthy living together.
