Scaring people for money

I thought I would share a method of raising funds.  It works, it is a proven technique.  For the past number of years a friend and I organize what we call the spookwalk.  The campground I work at allows us to build an outdoor haunted house.  We are a charity event, donating to the Wisconsin chapter of MS, and this year we are also benefitting a cancer society by having a free night for kids whose parents could not afford to bring them. 

What we do is collect 8 dollars per adult ticket and give five to our charity.  We are able to cover our build expenses, and pay 20 people 25 dollars per night for scaring people.  This ensures that we get 20 people to do it, and we need them.  Our charity runs for two nights, and we get free advertising on several radio stations and TV because it is for MS.  Besides all that, it is a total blast.  People love being scared.  This year we are going to have monster spiders.  I can't wait.
