We love hearing about how being a part of Changemakers can lead to further opportunities. We hope you'll all share your "Changemakers Impact" stories with us...such as this one that just came in:

Newsdesk.org, a finalist in the Changemakers and WeMedia "The Power of Us" competition, has received a $25,000 grant from the Ethics & Excellence in Journalism Foundation. "It absolutely was a result of that contest,” said editor Josh Wilson. “Thank you very much for helping make that connection!”

The organization will use the grant to develop a non-profit, public interest news syndication service called News You Might Have Missed, and hire full-time staff. The service will focus on important but overlooked news stories and local coverage in underserved communities.

Congratulations to Newsdesk.org! Let's hear more stories like this -- feel free to post them right here on the Changemakers Group.
