Thanks so much for sharing your work with ReLIT NY. Have you considered partnering with literacy programs so that you're not only addressing the issue of people not reading but of people not knowing how to read?

Yes, that's certainly an idea we've had which I'd love to see happen. I think partnerships are key and there are several literary/ literacy orgs that we should talk with. Literacy orgs, public libraries, literary orgs such as National Book Foundation, PEN, who do their own literacy programs....the list (fortunately for us) is endless, we just need some time to channel our path properly.
One of the exciting things that we have started doing is partnering with schools and having the high school students be involved in our program. This has been incredible for them in many aspects and although not promoting literacy, it is truly an education in itself for these kids.
