Wonder & Wisdom has been providing community enrichment programs for children and seniors in rural Northeastern Vermont since 1998. Whenever possible, the children and seniors are combined for inter-generational learning opportunities. Its purpose is to inspire passion for lifelong learning by sharing in community wisdom and the wonders of life through imaginative programs for people of all ages. There are people who have changed their lives at Wonder & Wisdom. There are families who are making new choices. The community feels its presence.
Reason:
Many of Wonder & Wisdom's participants live in generational poverty. Wonder & Wisdom is growing and changing in order to share its work with a larger audience. They have recently added a mentoring program in collaboration with the local school system and a regional mentoring agency. Ultimately, they are changing our culture: one heart, one family, one town, one state, one nation at a time.
