On October 27, 2010, the judges reviewed entries for the Changemakers G-20 SME Finance Challenge competition and would like to pass on the following feedback for your entry (below). Thank you for applying and for your hard work in the field. We are excited to archive your entry to serve as a leading solution for the worldwide community of innovators. We wish you continued luck with your innovative, sustainable, and socially impactful initiatives.
All the best,

The Changemakers Team

This is an incredibly innovative solution which tackles the issue of renewable energy distribution and SME financing at the same time. It uses a sort of wholesale “Tupperware” model to address the needs of energy SMEs, and even includes plans for Sharia-compliant products, giving the model applicability in the Middle East.

Beyond energy, the basic model is broadly applicable to a wide range of products. There is really no shortage of products that can be distributed this way. The entry is a bit confusing in its presentation of metrics and it would be great to see more background behind the projections, but overall it shows real innovation using a sustainable model.
