Richard C. Harwood is the founder and president of The Harwood Institute for Public Innovation, a nonprofit, catalytic organization dedicated to helping people imaging and act for the public good.
For nearly two decades, Harwood has inspired and guided people to step forward and take action rooted in their community and stay true to themselves. He has worked with individuals, organizations and communities to turn outward and develop their ability to make more intentional choices and judgments that lead to impact.
Harwood has devoted his energies to spreading a vision for what American society should be and putting innovative practices to use on the ground to turn that vision into a reality. A frequent expert commentator in national and syndicated media, he has authored numerous studies on the vital issues of our time, including education, health care and the state of American politics.
