What was the defining moment that led you to this innovation?

I watched a video that showed children starving almost to death , malnourished yet Uganda is an agricultural country in which such a case should not occur. So I thought of this idea that can act as a food basket to other areas in which children are starving.

Tell us about the social innovator behind this idea.

Mukisa is a women’s group of about 30 created by the horticulture exporter’s association. These being mothers and already in agriculture they needed something that would hold them together when I shared this idea with them they welcomed it. As it promoted their agriculture production, food security, and family health and ate the same time income generating and self sustaining.
