According to World Health Report around 450 million people are suffering from mental or behavioral disorder in India. Only small minorities of them receive even the most basic treatment. Of all persons with disabilities, those with a serious mental illness face the highest degree of stigmatization in the workplace, and the greatest barriers to employment worldwide. Worldwide research shows that people with a mental illness want work; see employment as feasible& important to their recovery, and an unmet need of them.
In this scenario a change is needed for the betterment of these people in the minimum available resources. Lack of opportunities available in the society the chances of relapses become frequent & may lead to frequent hospitalization as well as desertion of MI person by the family.
Solution-Many people after recovery fail to get a job either because of their educational background or due to stigma prevalent in the society. To generate income for people suffering from mental illness we are developing a special website where people from all over the world would get a glimpse of the products made by MI people & able to buy it, know the challenges faced by them & how creativity & earning remuneration has helped them to overcome the challenges successfully. An opportunity to interact with the person & send him comments about his product could provide satisfaction to the buyer apart from the satisfaction that they get from the products only
