innovation from all standpoints

I would like to vote in favor of absolute innovation, and in fact I already have.  I voted for Ian Ingram's Street Light project.I have worked in this type of field before. I'm not knocking the other projects, but I have seen things like this before.  Give students some cameras, record their stories, project them in some novel ways.  It's old hat. However, I have never seen anyone propose to put teens in charge of the output of robotic streetlights with 4 parameters of expression.  3 physical parameters of movement and splitting the light, plus auditory output!  The kids' poems! This is a new level of approach.  No doubt. This idea is unprecedented, and therefore deserves respect. . . and think of it of this way ... how cool is that...? you get your poems up on a robotic _street_light_!!  the kids would _love_it!!Listen, people, this is a new modality.  Ripe for the taking.  It would be a _shame_ not to vote for the Street Light Project.Sincerely, Kalafya Brown, MIT 1996, also recorded in an MIT outreach project in 1986
