Dear Anindya,

There is great value in this, but not necessarily at the state level. There are limits to where the patients can be referred to. It is useful to look at this system as going from Primary to Secondary to Tertiary, and see how strong referral linkages can be established for different kind of health problems, using internet-based networks.

Also, how does this project classify under the 'financial solutions' category?

Regards,
Suyash

Thought this project is of great value, but this project implementation requires a huge expenditure in terms of setting up initial IT infrastructure. More over unless it is implemented on a large scale the economies with such implementations cannot be achieved.More over it would require competing hospitals to share a number of information on a same platform, which would not be a easy task.

Moreover do you know any such successful initiative, which has been implemented in countries of high internet penetration.
Kindly give a more detailed analysis of financial expenditure expected and the scope(coverage of project geographically)
