This entry from Elitser IT Solutions India highlights many of the important challenges facing the implementation of MIS for MFIs. Elitser highlights the variety of products, models and interest rate calculations that MFIs use and how they have developed a software that can accommodate this heterogeneity.

What concerns me about Elitser's MIS innovations is the trouble in creating demand for their product in the sector. I wonder what the strategies for demonstrating the importance of MIS and that a system like theirs is a costly but sound investment. It would be interesting to know more about what efforts the organization is using to effectively market their product.

I Thank you very much for your observations about our posting under MIS innovations - MicroFinancer Standard Edition for MIS requirements of MFIs. Our journey to this stage has been very long and tedious.

After working with different MFIs requirements across India / Phillipines and Indonesia, we have built this solution to accomodate this vast heterogeneity and today we can confidently say that this solution is able to meet almost 98% of a MFI requirement.

Our strategy has been

a)To market the product directly to MFIs.

b) Promote the product through the forums like Care India, Access Development Services , SIDBI or Saa Dhan members and to MF consultants to refer or recommend our solution.

C) To Box Pack it and use the reseller or Business Partners to market our product and provide customer support to MFIs.

D) To provide online procurement facility of our product through our web site : www.elitser.com

These are the options we are using keeping in view of the market situation.
