Very impressive manner in which you have tried to cover the gap in the market and yet make it profitable. Tried to cover all bases with providing information and getting all stakehoders on board. Any more information that you may like to provide which will further aid in an informed decision being made?

The key to microinsurance is to create awareness among all the partners. To make the insured reallise that the amount available to him is precious and that he shouldnot misuse this by getting treated for avoidable admissions. The hospitals must realise that they are doing a service to society yet itis they who are the ultimate beneficiary of the health insurance product since increased occupancy will only help them and therefore they should be cost effective and cut all the frills while treating poor people. Finally the insurance company should more compassionate and reasonable in handling claims.
Fortunately in Sampoorna suraksha partners are reallising their responsibilities to make the producteffective.
We are one of the network hospitals. Only few days back we had a very poor patient who had a strangulated inguinal hernia. But for this scheme he couldn't have afforded the operation that saved his life. Many such patients are benefitting from this scheme. Though network hospitals find it tough because of the financial constraints, this scheme ought to be encouraged and implemented since the rural poor are really benefitted. It can really change the rural healthcare scenario. I congratulate Dr. Heggade and Dr. Manjunath for coming up with this novel scheme.
Thanks. We appreciate the commitment shown by the hospitals like yours for the scheme. Indeed millions cannot afford the quality treatment provided by hospitlas like yours. I feel we have a social obligation to make health services affordable to them. Hats off to your concern.
