Aleta Margolis on the Evolution of Success
On the evolution of success:
I learned to define success not by the role I play, but by the impact I create. We must define and redefine success by remaining divinely dissatisfied.
On what makes the most effective teachers:
A good teacher should be an instigator of thought. A good teacher should ask tough questions; offer students problems to solve, instead of feeding them answers; and engage students in an authentic conversation about the relationship between freedom and responsibility, instead of coercing them to behave with the threat of punishment or the promise of rewards.
