Learntive is an education focused social venture. At Learntive we believe that students should not fall behind for lack of learning opportunity and thus not realize their full potential. Learntive leverages technology to inspire student learning.
Learntive produces high quality educational videos (DVDs & Online) for science subjects (curriculum) taught in schools and makes them available to students free of charge.

Students (especially in Government run schools) fall behind in learning because of:

• Unplanned and frequent school closures (law and order, rains, floods, Taliban)
• Absent teachers ( ~ 25% any given day)
• Lack of teacher commitment (70% teachers only teach 15min per subject)
• Low level of teacher competence
• Families reluctant to send girls to private coaching centers
• Private education is expense and out of reach of majority

The key "innovation" can be summed up in one word "LOCAL".

• LOCAL Content = Videos/DVDs cover the local curriculum taught it schools. Student have to pass a Board exam at the end of the year, hence their interest.
• LOCAL Language = Lectures are recorded in local language.
• LOCAL Delivery = Vast majority (>90%) do not have access to Broadband connectivity. DVDs allow them to watch/learn while being offline.
