An on-line community of sustainable community economic development practitioners who have graduated from Simon Fraser University's CED certificate course and who reside or work in Northern BC.

The Hub is meant to keep alumni in touch and inspired by the work they are doing in their respective communities.

Problem

Northern BC is vast. From Vanderhoof to Masset, Smithers to Fort Nelson, our team wants to connect to community development practitioners who are working at the grassroots level to effect social change in their communities.

Solution

Create an on-line portal/ hub where community practitioners can share their projects, ideas and inspiration in our region.

Example

Create an on-line interactive map, with digital storytelling from each community development practitioner celebrating the projects they are involved in as well as the challenges they face. The interactive map would connect: community development practitioners not associated with traditional CED models as well as build a database of social enterprises (existing and defunct) for regional memory.
