GIRLS ACHIEVE

It is also a platform where abused women are offered support through free legal assistance and interventions.

SHARE A HEART
Share a heart is the hand of help, it is a service that assists the very poor in the most basic human needs being medicines and food. Share a heart seeks out givers who want to help people living in heart breaking conditions with the barest necessity to survive for another day.

Problem

Following the militant activity in the region, there is an urgent need for intervention to benefit the inhabitants and specifically young girls and women who are faced with difficult choices daily in other to survive. There has been an increase in teen pregnancy and illegal abortion related deaths in the region, young mothers in the region are discriminated upon and as a result are dropping out of school in large numbers and are ill-equipped to sustain themselves and their new born. Young mothers need to fend for themselves and in most cases can not do so for different reasons one being inability to fund a vocational skill training, the few that have gained such skills lack basic business skills to succeed in their endeavor. There are many cases of domestic violence against women with no hands on support for such women or available immediate intervention in cases of great urgency, women remain in these abusive environments as they can not afford or even have any knowledge of a possible solution, some of these women lose their lives eventually and nothing is done to the culprit. There are a large number of families in the Niger Delta of Nigeria that still lose a member to malaria or typhoid, a disease that is treatable with over-the-counter drugs, there are so many families who are barely able to feed once a day and have no hope of where to start from in resourcing for a steady livelihood. In some remote areas of the region girls pay the ultimate price to feed their family

Solution

Girls Achieve Club for girls allows girls a safe and secure space to develop and build healthy relationships through sports and arts. By aiding them in recognizing, building-on and maintaining good choices towards attaining their highest potential. The educate for change workshops increases the opportunities of young mothers and out-of-school girls by equipping them with necessary tools towards a better future through sustainable enterprise methods and skills. It also provides a standby support for abused women who need urgent interventions through free legal service and tailored care. The share a heart program bridges the gap between medicines and the people who are in desperate need of them by soliciting through strategic partnerships rural health workshops where free medical assistance is crucial in order to save lives. It also uses same approach to secure food donations to families where feeding is a great difficulty.

Example
