AVCAR will be a new Go Green Car. As the name suggests, it will be a type of car, that will run on road and will fly in air as well. It will be of a V/STOL type, that is, it will able to take off or land from or to any position.

When running on road, the car will derive its power from the solar towers located in front and when it will start to airborne, power from the solar towers will be cutoff and the electric propulsion system(having superconductor motor) will give the required power. The electric propulsion systems will consist of superconductor motors which are very efficient in providing the power, has high torque to perform the operations, yet lightweight and compact.

Hence, it can be noted that, during its entire operation, whether running on road or flying in air, it will not require any type of fuels. Consequently no pollution will be produced.

The main feature of this car is that, it will be highly ecofriendly. Also, due to its operational flexibility, it will increase mobility in transport which is becoming crowded day by day. The other important factor is that this car will be much cost effective because of the facts that a)it will not require any type of fuels(whose cost is ever increasing)and b)due to the use of superconductor motors in electric propulsion, there is elimination of engine hydraulics and consequently massive reduction in maintenance costs.

In a nutshell, it can be said that, AVCAR can be a perfect 'GREEN CAR', yet high on technology.

Problem

At the current instance, everywhere it is becoming more and more polluted. Moreover, due to the adverse effects of pollution, global warming has taken place. Secondly, with the increase in population of the world, direct effect is seen in decreasing mobility of transport. Everywhere cities are becoming overcrowded with cars and vehicles and traffic congestion is also increasing day by day. So, its a high time now to address these issues.

Solution

AVCAR, will not only increase the mobility in transport, but it will also protect our mother nature. Due to its operational functions, it can simply fly over the place to avoid traffic congestion and land at the required place. Also, the main feature of this car is that it runs completely on clean technology. When running on road, it derives its power from the solar towers and when flying in air, the electric propulsion system delivers the required power to fly. So, it is seen that, in its entire operation, no fuel is required. Hence no pollution will be produced.

Example

The solution will change the entire transportation system massively in two important ways: a) by increasing the mobility in transport and b) by not polluting our nature.

As on December 1, 2012, it is hoped that the preliminary study of the project will be completed. After the completion of the preliminary study, testing the scalability of the project, thorough study of the model will be be initiated like understanding the aerodynamics and propulsion system of the car, performing mathematical calculations, analyzing the total system for optimum performance, preparing detailed drawings of the car etc.
