The village, NBV, with its low population and low financial base has been ignored by several companies and the government of India. Despite efforts by the Government of India to bring electricity to the village of NBV, the problem still exists.

Our approach is therefore an intervention strategy aimed at instituting a dependable nighttime solar lighting system in NBV by providing resources in form of the solar panels and power distribution equipment’s, and also providing sustainability through MGP (a solar electrification company).

Hence, implementing this project would bring an improvement to the quality of life of NBV natives.

In NBV, students who have to study or do homework at night have to do so with dim light from kerosene lamps. The fumes or exhaust from these lamps pose various health risk to these young people. Also, natives have to travel long distances to buy government subsidized kerosene, and others live in fear of being attacked by night due to the dark nature of the community.

On the economic front, a solar electrified city will help boost buying and selling even after the sun goes down.

We believe that we can make life better for the people in rural India (NBV) by embarking on this project.
