Women in technology Uganda is an initiative that seeks to encourage, inspire and train more women in the tech field through networking, training, mentoring and partnering so as to increase the number of women in tech, the number of tech women entrepreneurs and more girls to take science courses at university so as to reduce the gender gap and compete favorably with our male counterparts for jobs and improve the livelihoods of women in Uganda
world wide its known that there are less women in Technology because of a stereo type that Tech is hard. we aim to change this in Uganda by training every woman interested in learning ICT.
If we want to see change in this belief and statistics we need to start at the bottom, with young girls that are still in high school to pick interest in ICTs and also encourage women that are already in the field to aspire to be more and achieve more in the field.

we train girls that have dropped out of school due to lack of school dues in basic computing and entrepreneurship skills to help them find and create jobs in ICT, we teach girls aged 5-13 to get them encouraged and interested in ICT at a young age

we also train women small business owners to incorporate ICT in their businesses to increase there sales, reach wider market and improve their standard of living
we train ourselves in areas of expertise, once a month we sit as professional women in ICT and learn from one another on decided programming languages to improve our
