    GleaningHarvest.org will be a nationwide program both educating large land owners and farmers with large amounts of food to donate that there are gleaning organizations available to harvest the food and donate it to a food pantry - and a nationwide directory of such organizations built in such a way that it will maintain the organizational footprint of each one (i.e. where they will and will not harvest food).

    AmpleHarvest.org is an innovative hunger program that moves information instead of food to address America's food challenges.

    This model falls outside of the normal funding silos from most foundations. As a result, although our annual budget is very small compared to other national program, we have a great deal of difficultly raising money for staff and technology.

    AmpleHarvest.org is looking for a capacity development person who can help a non-standard solution find funding to support and help sustain the program and the organization.

    About the Need:

    AmpleHarvest.org was built by a group of volunteers in 2009. The hand coded site is in desperate need of a total overhaul (it is largely held together today by digital duct tape).

    The site needs to be rebuilt on an off the shelf platform, be easily supported by non-technical staff, support tablets and mobile devices, be multilingual, improve SEO options and support multimedia.

    The site also needs to gather user information, offer receipts for donations, etc.
