EMAJMagazine is an intercultural magazine, made by a network of young journalists from the Middle East, North Africa and the EU. The journalists who contribute met during the Euro-Mediterranean Academy for Young Journalists, a workshop which brought together journalists from the EU and the MENA regions in Amman (2008) and in Amsterdam (2009). EMAJMagazine focuses on issues related to the EU, Middle East and North Africa with special regard to the relationship between the regions as well as human rights, intercultural dialogue and immigration.
Reason:
EMAJMagazine is one of the few online cross-border outlet, gathering a bunch of young journalists from both sides of the Mediterranean area, who confront their points of view and stories. I think that the public lacks of such dynamic and genuine media, who also care about interacting with their public, via social media as well as the organization of workshops and conferences.
