Dear Stephanie;

I read your entry today and found it very interesting. The internet can be a powerful tool for raising awareness and gaining support and momentum around a specific issue; including human trafficking. It would be interesting to hear a bit more about how you envision your innovation impacting global trafficking. Is it to be used as a space to raise awareness and share ideas, or is it a marketing tool to promote forms of tourism that directly benefit the people living in the location? It might add strengthen to your entry to explain your conceptual framework more clearly.

Good luck!

Hello Laura,

Thanks for your interest & for your comment. You're absolutely right: I need to clear up this entry, it's actually quite messy... busy days... I'll try to clean this as soon as possible.

Concerning global trafficking, I guess you'll agree that poverty is the main source of human traffic. So, I think the most powerfull secret of Open Source Networks consists en attacking global poverty at its roots: unfair & unsustainable trade, miseducation, digital gap, geographic/cultural isolation, etc...
Empowering knowledge, good intentions, creativity & synergy at any stage of the global society could be THE UNIQUE way to study & solve the problems of such a crazy, unique world. In my opinion, piramids & old growing organizations are getting TOTALLY USELESS due the speed of global changes.

Theorically, 2.0 brings transparency, free information, people's participation, trust & sharing spirit, that should be good for many fields, but it could also take us to a BIG Big Brother, if we don't learn to drive it right now...

Well, as an example: I think it could be quite easy to build a massive travelers community: "Travelers 2.0 against Human trafficking", when travelling wecould be your reporters & you will see, wewill probably start to build some brand new cooperation/control tools, online & offline, naturally & for free ;)

If you understand a little bit of spanish I suggest you to have a look on this part of my blog:
