Greetings,

I visited the NightLight website, which is a missional organization with the goal of supporting women and children who are trying to leave prostitution if I understand correctly, and I have a few comments on your project.

Your project is missing key financial information, and I am having a hard time identifying how your project goes beyond NightLight's current programs. I also think that the majority of your dilemma will be solved with additional market analysis, and basic marketing techniques such as word-of-mouth, Facebook, and other free resources may lead you to your funding. I also think that since NightLight provides the women with the opportunity to make a craft, you would be able to use that craft to build awareness and find potential donors and investors in your walk in the process.

It would seem that by using the small, medium or large kits to host parties in your church (as an example), you could build awareness there, invite other women to host parties with their friends and coworkers to spread the word. Now, so far this is not above and beyond the opportunities available on the NightLight website, and it would take the initial investment of $500-900. Perhaps your church has a fund or the leadership would be interested in contributing to the initial investment of the kit to begin raising awareness. Then, you can ask the women at the parties to make an optional donation toward funding your walk to build awareness.

I think that by telling the story of NightLight to women you know first, and engaging them in your project as a team, you will have an easier time overcoming your current obstacles.
Sincerely,
Sarah McRae
