Did you ever have to go for karate classes, just because your mother wanted you to, and because the karate teacher lived right around the corner?
Did you attend music classes because her mother wanted you to learn? Only to discover years later that it is theatre that truly inspires you?
Someone else in our team never got a chance to learn anything at all, because his parents thought it was a waste of time. Now he is trying his best to make up for the lost years in his childhood…
One day one of us cracked and decided that he wanted to spread Art. At the time it was just a random idea, but we have come a long way since then – from a nascent thought to an actual registered NGO. Our purpose is to make all kinds of art available to everyone, so that you can choose to follow what you really love, because it inspires you, not because it’s around the corner.
We expose you to 150 different art forms, and at the end of the day, you make your choice about what you really want to learn. We are also aware of the special needs of special age groups (the children and the elderly), and have come up with workshops and teaching techniques that identify their needs. Read on to fine out more.
So Value of Art in young peoples life could be seen as:
A source of creativity and enrichment which our education system fails fo provide.
A source for deviation from Crime.
A source for career for lesser few.
A source for Therapy.
Current research:
on child development shows that, by and large, children today are not exposed to enough
creative activity. Constraints on time in school
and at home, pressure to perform well in
academics, excessive exposure to television
and the absence of role models have resulted
in psychosomatic and behavioural problems in
many children. Recognising the therapeutic
value of art in holistic healing, psychologists,
artists and child development specialists have
come together to create this.
I am interested in learning more about your work in India and engage in an excahnge of ideas of possible partnerships and/or shared experiences we can create. My organization is Life Pieces To Masterpieces, Inc. (Go to www.lifepieces.org for more info.). For many years I have had the TREMENDOUS fortune to witness the transformative POWER of creative expression in the lives of young men and boys growing up under some of the most challenging circumstances.
It would be a good thing, I believe, for us to share our stories.

Hello Vineet,
Can you more clearly describe the value that the arts has on young people?
Thank you
