It is soon going to be true that the young Indians would have known or seen the rest of his country, its flora and fauna over the wide spreading internet connection than in reality. The IWC is good because it brings us face to face or screen to screen with different experts on ecology, be they birders, park rangers, eminent conservers, wildlife lawyers etc.THe CLub has good interactive features that enable the common man to learn some basic things like how to compost at home, identifying bird calls,and general updates on Indian willife news and policies.
The Community of Practice is an excellent idea to advance the knowledge of people with varying levels of interest in Indian Wildlife. Thanks to National Geographic and other production houses that focus on Nature, it is possible for people in the far corners of the globe to become aware of some of the wild animals and birds in India. However, those children and adults who are curious to learn more do not have a place on the web where they can go to to share their thoughts and interact with experts who are committed to sharing their knowledge with them. I credit the Indian Wildlife Club for committing themselves to create such a learning environment.
