Excellent Initiative. Tell me, how do the kids from various backgrounds react when they are brought togther to play in mixed teams. how do you help overcome the already existing barriers or prejudice that the kids have. Also, how many kids does your initiative actually reach out to. Do the same kids keep coming back to participate?
Thanks for your comment. That "silly" round ball works wonders and overcomes so much elese that would otherwise get in the way. At first there is some hesitation; then they play soccer together, and by the end of the session there are hi-fives and hugs!Our program is ongoing throughout the school year and the kids come very willingly every week.
