Discussion about entry: Striking Change: Changing the Face of a Nation Through Sport and Education

Many of us in the States tend to think of other areas of the globe as the most disadvantaged, and it comes as a shock to us to realize that Haiti, so close by, witnesses such suffering on the part of many of its children. Tara, you, Mario Arthur, Turnier Esperance, and Georges Aschkar Jr. are to be congratulated for, as you put it, "remain[ing] on the ground" there, providing the assistance that you do. The HSF appears to be accomplishing much necessary and good work.

Specifically regarding athletics, I appreciate the interesting mix of sports organizing and coaching that the HSF features. Soccer, martial arts, volleyball, and basketball between them represent much variety that no doubt appeals to any young person interested in sports.
