some human beings could simply change thier whole vision about life after living an experience and iam one of them , before joining why not i was only thinking and acting according to my own personal interest , also i thought that the real happiness is having money and buying things all the time , i didn't know how much suffering people are facing , although they were satisfied with thier lives and i clearly noticed that when we started yalla na'ayyed (happy feast) campaign , it was my changing point for a new prospretive for life and for me .

we spent our time collicting , washing , iroing and pocketing clothes , and that was really tiring , and we had to deley many important licture and classes but we simply forgot all when we saw these little innocent true smiles on people's faces .

i'm so proud of myself becouse i care alot about people and becouse we change alot of people mind from giving the poor people use and dearty clothes to giving them it in new way as a gift , i'm sure now there is noting better than making someone happy :)

Happy Eid Campaign (happy feast) was born to tell everyone all over the world especially in Palestine that youth can do more than you think …We are the power.

The goal was to help poor families to get Happy Eid as all families by give them the chance to wear new clothes ,so we decide to collect correct data about the poor families by getting the data from specialized nongovernmental organization called Alzkah committee . Our work started by the field visit, so we visit the families, meet & talk with them and takes detail information about the situation & the best part was they were so happy with us. clothes with good case were been collected from our families, relatives & friends then we had to iron it by ourselves & it was a great chance to learn ironing specially for guys .After we had ironed the clothes we put it in packets as gifts to let a good picture in families‘s memories .Finally we returned to over than 50 families with nice gift from our hearts which I think arrived to theirs.

For us it was a great experience to touch the poverty by our hands & try to take an action, we learned how to be effective in this problem & I hope one day we can fix it in all over the world.

As one of the team for Happy Eid Compiegne I would to thank all people who helped us to finish our work & would to thank “Mercy corps “to give us the chance to be involved in poverty problem.

How a nice feeling I have lived in “yalla na3ed”

Campaign. No words can describe it . the only action can

express it is the smile on the children faces .

At the beginning of the campaign I thought that we will not be

able to achieve any thing because when I asked the leader

how many family we would be responsible for? in order to be

ready to prepare a clothes gift, her answer was ” 11” !! I

was shocked & said to myself it’s impossible to do .

However, my team worked very hard .we prepared all of the

gifts for 11 family & we had time to help the other gropes in

their works .

This Campaign means a lot to me such as it’s essay to work

with other , to let someone be happy .

In this Campaign we collected clothes from our families,

relatives & friends then we cleaned and iron them by

ourselves .

Finally we returned to over than 50 families .

The life is greater than being just hours and minutes spent in entertainment, sleeping, watching T.V

or going out with this and that …

Just few minutes, you extend your helping hand to a needy ,desperate poor ,waiting a miracle to

get out of that dark corner which is captures by …

To draw a hopeful smile on an innocent face who seeks to the basic rights to live like the rest kids

in the world …

This is the life which worth living.

That what I learnt from being volunteer at Ylaa Na'ayed Campaign..

Really I spent the most crazy ,tiring ,beautiful and useful days with my group.

But every tiring minutes I spent, I had forgot as soon as I saw the happiness at the faces of the poor

people we visit and help..

I hope every single person think honestly

Try to make something to these people even you see it nothing and meaningless to you

With my lovely wishes

What was great joy when i saw the smile appear on the faces of innocent children , love of life..

you asked yourself what true happiness?

True happiness is to seek happiness of others , in any form

Is trying to action , not words ...

Is the dream , think and work together hand in hand ...

I am a volunteer in yall na'ayed compaign (happy feast ), this was my first time to have an experience like this, at the beginning when I heard about this project, I felt excited that I am doing this with my friends and I thought it was just a good thing to do and it's good to do voluntary work.

We started to collect clothes, clean, iron and then pocket the presents with all my group members and even my leaders at this project, I felt so proud of them all and I felt that I could be proud of myself too.

But when I saw those people and how poor they are, I couldn't even bear to see those innocent faces when they got so happy with what they have.

I made a big wonderful smile on someone's face, that was the thing that made me really proud of myself, and I believe that being in work like this would definitely change someone's life from deep inside even if he has a little mercy in his heart.

We done the change that we hope to see in the world

Yes, we create hope from despair, we create the force from the twice and create the spirit of young people from youth lost his life in the problems and issues of life. We created the young people used their time well from youth was killed his time YALLA Na'ayyed similar campaign created a new meaning in young people ,it made young people know the meaning of filling of the others, and stopped bored and how working. Why not activities of young people saved from going astray and falling easy prey to boredom and corruption, the time , that is possible to exploit the bad things young people learn the meanings of which humanity. I am very happy, that I am a member of why not program and Frankly I try this type of work for the first time in my life . I enjoyed this very experience and I benefited greatly ,I have become my new friends . in addition to that I identified some places I visit for the first time in my life in the Gaza Strip and identified on the lives of people I only see them on television

We Are a ambitious youth Palestinian. trying to reform and helping people, especially the poor ones.

Since we have joined to mercy corps, and participated in why not project in Gaza strip, we know each other and got together for something inside us, inside each one of us, its being change, or doing something change in our society, therefore we have called ourselves changemakers. Dreaming and Thinking to Achieve, we are using all of these doings to be change. This is what mercy corps makes us used to do.

in spite of us didn’t have official faunding to be change and we are a part of youth people, yet we have done it, by our hands by encouragements people by our chances. Because our aims are one. And we have hopes for the future and love for a new bright sun shin.

Our beginning was In Ramadan; our motivation was the conditions of the poor people. From this point, we decided to do charity work reflects our youth soul; we decided to give the poor families some clothes as a gift for the happy feast.

Our number was 30 members. One of us can't help us in field research and chosen to help in ironing or preparing the gifts. I see in them eyes how they would be help how they would be change how inside all of us action, work, doing and active.

As it should be in a plan, we decided to 5 groups each to own area. Included each group 5 members. And the stiller helped us in ironing and preparing the gifts.

It was 5 days. from "the collecting" to "delivery the gifts".

Each member of 5 groups started to collect clothes from here & there then washed it

finally we had a huge Quantity, then was separated according 2 ages, after that we made a field visit to the needy family, average 10 per a group, After the completion of the visits, we divided the clothes, and pocketed them as a gifts and prepare them.

The one problem face us is money, but as I said above by hand and coincidence and we believing in GOD that helps us forever.

The essential moment closed, we prepared ourselves to go award the families

First at all we were afraid of station or of people. And asking ourselves, they will accepted or not? what they will say to us? They will upset? How they will arrive these little gifts? as we are youth people thinking!!!

But when we arrival the needy poor people, we were happy of welcoming and smiling faces, It was unbelievable moments when we saw the happiness drew on faces, u couldn’t imaged what we felt front of us, how they are happy and surprised for this little things what we presented them.

At this time we felt the value of what we did

I proud of being in this campaign. Especially DTA: Changemaker, And I always ask GOD to guide us to the rights way to the future. To be change and useful in my society and the surroundings.

Regards

Jelan
