Congratulations on seeing a gap in the travel market and very effectively creating a social business to fill this hole. You have thoughtfully crafted a socially conscious travel company that offers a unique and innovative experience for the common tourist. Here I will make several comments to complement your proposal.
In addition to planning in advance to support partner NGO’s, can the tourists also increase their donations after experiencing the community? After they return to their home countries, do the customers / tourists remaining involved with the NGO’s which they supported during their travels with GoPhilathropic?
How do you select your partner NGO’s? Describe more the relation you have with these organizations before, during, and after the tourism visits?
You mention the importance and challenge of obtaining media attention. How are you currently working to publicize your project? What is your targeted goal for the number of customers to have per year and for the number of dollars contributed and NGO’s supported per year? In the future, how do you plan to expand your impact?
Many thanks for creating such an interesting and effective company and for sharing your ideas and efforts in this competition.
