As a behavioral health consultant who has worked in the addiction field for over 30 years, I think this nudge is quite intriguing and has potential for replication. Further results can be confirmed in solid evaluation outcome studies. What I find unique is that this contestant: 1. combines an obvious fact (exercise is good), 2. appears to use an individualized approach, 3. bases the nudge on science supported factual information about brain chemistry, 4. applies this information to very real problems individuals in recovery face- boredom, cravings and triggers, 5. achieves this in a very cost effective manner and 6. engages community partners in a comprehensive and meaningful way. The annectdotal reports the entry presents are compelling and directly address very real issues indiviudal newly withdrawn from illicite opiods. I'm glad they have teamed with prestigeous university to conduct more extensive/valid outcome studies.

From a population perspective, opioid addiction is rampant and dealing with relapse is a seemingly intractable problem. I sincerely hope that this applicant will contiue to combine exercise as part of the treatment plan, as well as evaluate outcomes and share results. For those of us who cannot wait, this is certainly an important nudge that can be communicated and tried with individuals suffering from addiction problems.

Good luck with this entry, I hope that you get the acknowledgement that you deserve. C. Jarvi, Prinicpal, CJ & Luke Associates
