This discussion is about Creating a Generation of Empathic Heroes.
When I heard of Heroic Imagination Project’s mission, I knew from that instant that this was something that could be implemented in Mexico.
Since then, planting seeds of empathy and compassion in kids early on to help mitigate violence in their immediate environment has become a life mission, and with the unconditional support we’ve received from HIP staff this is becoming possible.
I truly believe that those seeds will remain throughout a lifetime improving the quality of life of many through mindful and empathic awareness.
I contacted HIP staff in May 2011 and by May 2012 we have developed a growing relationship that has touched many minds – young and old – in many cities throughout Mexico, Tijuana, Chihuahua, Ensenada, Puerto Vallarta, Rosarito and new engagements to present the Heroic Imagination concepts to young people are multiplying.
In Mexico, we are working with pure voluntary efforts, hoping that we can find the resources to set up an office and a team of qualified trainers to continue with this mission and I trust we are in the right path to achieve this goal.
