This is discussion about Janani's IT enabled AgriService Venture (JAS) - India.
It's great to see such a robust program designed to work with the academic, agricultural, and business sectors. Could you explain more about the youth employment component and how specifically technology is used?
The employment opportunities for the youth are in the form of co-ordinators (for Agro Advisory Services) and Operations Assistants for other services in the village Kiosk. At the next stage when we add other rural services in Healthcare, Education and Livelihoods, we will be adding some more local youth to render the services. On an average a Village Kiosk will employ 5 to 6 local youth. In addition the Mandal/Taluk Aggregator Centers will have 10 such guys. Over all Janani will be providing employment to over 30,000 village youth in Andhra Pradesh.
Technology is used to collect, collate and transmit live data of the crops to the scientists in digital form. Advisories are delivered to the farmers in their mobile. The Aggregator Technology Platform will enable a seamless network to transact globally in the service delivery and trading activities.
