NAQ supports African women living in North-America by creating a platform to achieve a community goal
Location
The Northwest African Queen Pageant. All contestants write a social micro project/platform and with enough funding/sponsorship,the goal is to fund the project of the winner and help the rest exploit other ways to implement theirs. Examples last year were, Eradicating female circumcision in Africa, Malaria control in Kenya, Importance of Family in Zambia etc,
Reason:
Because it has a full package of a rounded project. It is not only a social project but promotes business growth through networking and advertisement opportunities, grooms youth leadership out of the contestants, preserves art and culture through dance and music, promotes creativity through competition segments - talent, creativity outfit and writing a micro project proposal. It is also uniting and entertaining.
