Great entry! I interpret your entry as more of a community based organization that creates schools. This is a great approach!  Community ownership is vital!  What an interesting idea to create a competition-like scenario between the clans.   It makes school districts accountable for their community education. Would you say this also creates something of a micro-finance model for education?  Can you provide a little more information about what exactly your program does?  Does it help kids get into schools or do you do something else?  How do you use the leverage of competition among the clans to support education?  Also,  do you run the school or does the organization run the school? And I would like to know more about how is cattle linked to the education process?  Lastly, in addition to your great work, how do you maintain this unique culture of the pastoralists?  You have put a lot of hard work into this entry.  Thank you for your great ideas.Fran HolubaAshoka's Changemakers

“I think that this is an innovative community organization model and an excellent way to mobilize the community. I love the idea of using the local community and labor, to finance local schools. I’m interested in learning more about how they plan on maintaining sustainability and expanding this initiative.”
