We learn to think logically, UNDERSTAND and RESOLVE problems (in school and life).

The Solution: What is your solution? Be specific!

LER (Read, Understand and Resolve), in that order, follows a logical pattern. However, I believe that it carries shortcomings, especially in the areas of empathy among students and knowledge sharing among disciplines. Every primary school teaches how to READ and to interpret what was read. I think something else is missing in the act of interpreting what was read, I believe the practice of logical thinking is missing. The exercise of logical thinking can promote the RESOLUTION of problems, whatever they might be (in school or in life). To develop the capacity to think rationally, and to RESOLVE, I believe it is essential to incentivize READING and UNDERSTANDING first, and then the logical reflection on the challenges already resolved.

It might be a problem with the dynamics of teaching, with the lack of the study of physics. I believe it is essential to teach the theories of logical thinking using all the exercises used in the subject, from a diversity of authors. Focusing only on logical thinking, we cannot resolve the suggested problems. Only READING and UNDERSTANDING as established today, only stimulates people to resolve problems in a algebraic or arithmetic way. The act of reading allows us to reach a broader logical thinking. These thoughts make us UNDERSTAND the theories better and to RESOLVE the problems that appear about a subject. In a sense, in the act of reading the theory and to think logically about the exercises of a particular subject that the authors make, we are amplifying the knowledge and the capacity to resolve them. I think that, on the act of reading theories of logical thinking that authors make, we are expanding people’s knowledge and capacity to resolve problems. I believe that, without studying logical thinking, it is not possible to develop logical thinking. If logic is studied, we are providing the elements for people to develop their own processes of logical thinking.

Founding Story: We want to hear about your "Aha!" moment. Share the story of where and when the founder(s) saw this solution's potential to change the world [125 words]

LER was born from the difficulties of my children to understand how exact sciences work, particularly in the ability to solve problems, and in my lack of ability to teach them. I found the solution on the word LER (to read in Portuguese) which reads: L = red, E = understand, and R = resolve. From that point on, I added my personal experiences and my studies, always trying to give sense to each one of those letters, transmitting my knowledge. I identified the inexistence of a practice to stimulate logical thinking already developed. In LER, to study the logical thinking already developed is essential for the development and the capability to think logically and innovate.
