Education Care Unit

Education Care Unit is facilitating children in urban slum to be aware of urban environmental issues in their surrounding and to explore possible solutions.  By developing their own “dream city” – a self-sufficient urban settlement – in small groups, the children easily learn to understand the basics and principles of sustainable design and construction. Furthermore, they are introduced to systematic, multidisciplinary thinking and life cycle considerations. They also become strongly involved in team work and collective decision taking. Through all these valuable experiences the next generation acquires the sensitivity and the awareness to become responsible members of our future society.
