The vision of Peaceful Schools NC is to create safe school communities, free from violence and fear of physical and emotional intimidation.
The project mission is to implement an evidence-based intervention, tailored to the resources and requirements of each participating school, which will reduce bullying, advance school safety and enhance collaboration among all school community members.
The focus is to create an approach which contributes to the general mental, emotional, and physical health of the school and its surrounding community.
Reason:
Because it is absolutely what is needed! It addresses the root causes of bullying without judgment -- and helps schools grow as communities that shine from the inside out. In essence, it is teaching empathy by including ALL participants in the bully scenario in its embrace.
