What makes your idea unique?

This type of hospital is purely based on Social Economical system for third world tropical countries like INDIA. The main concept is based on two factors.
• Cost of the Treatment.
• Staying with you near and dear one in the time of life and death situation.
My concept Hospital. The hospital will have Intensive care beds,
Investigation departments, and many small single rooms with one patient bead, one patient relative bed one kitchenette and one veranda.
This may be Air-conditioned or non Air conditioned. The cost of this room may vary from INR 100 to INR 5000 per day.
1. The serious patient will be admitted to ICU then transferred to Room with relative.
2. These rooms will be on the top floor of the hospital, connected by lift.
3. Every floor will have one nursing station with some life saving medicine and communication facility with hospital.
4. There will be pharmacy and grocery shop in the peremesis.
5. The room patient relative will buy medicine from the pharmacy.
6. The room patient relative will buy vegetable grains fish meat and fruits for patient and self from the shop on the ground floor.
7. Can consult nursing station to call doctor, diet type or any investigation suggested by the consultant.
8. If the patient is serious may be transferred to Intensive unit by lift.
9. The patient can be taken care by his near and dear one, one to one basis.
10. Liking and unlinking of the patient can be taken care with all privacy of the room and person.
11. The problem of the patient coming from far has a place to stay and that to with patient.
12. Can cook the liking of the patient.
13. The patient will get mental boost to be well soon.
14. This concept hospital will bring down the cost and patient will get home care.
15. The cost of nursing and the number of nurse (In short supply) is an added advantage to the hospital.

What impact have you had?

With my experience and knowledge I hope to change the Healthcare system of the third world.

1. I am a full time AGM Operations at Westbank Hospital. This is 150 bedded hospital.
2. Once in a week I teach in the IISWBM under Calcutta University as visiting professor, teaching Masters in hospital Management , subject Hospital Operations.
3. The project of another one new westbank hospital of 250 bedded hospital is under construction, I am the coordinator of this project.
4. I as a free person with experience of 21 years in the field of project, Hospital operations and teaching hospital has a thought of a new concept on hospital. This concept has no relation ship with Westbank Hospital.
5. I need some one to fund me this project, and I am sure this is the best adaptation for the Third world country in the field of Health care.

What was the defining moment that led you to this innovation?

21 years of experience in project ,hospital operations and teaching hospital operations has made me think and develop this system of hospital.

Tell us about the social innovator behind this idea.

Seeing the monetary suffering and unable to get treatment and finally death to small young soul who could give their best to the world, die only because of money, unable to continue in ICCU, ICU, NICU, remove ventilation to survive their family leaving their near and dear one to die only because they are unable to pay the hospital bill.
