Hello Irene,
This is a gr8 idea! exploiting the opportunity in mobile technology is a huge step in health development. I think this is an innovation I will like to follow and will like to see winning and bringing about change!
As Iread through your idea, I noticed there are quite a few gramatical errors which slows down then fun in your idea! For example under your idea I think it should read 'ante-natal' and not 'anti-natal'; under innovation it is also you say '... who dont attend to these kind of medical checks up' maybe you wanted this to read 'who do not attend (or access) these kind of medical check ups. Also lets watch 'the number of mortality rate'. There are a few more you need to come back to in this great idea.
Another aspect is coherence; this is important for a smoth flow. You may want to for example stick to 'pre-natal' or 'ante-natal' - personally I prefer 'pre-natal' - (pre-natal is also one character shorter! ;) ).
As concerns the idea - I have chosen your idea for my weekly reflection and after a week (I know this is a long time!) I will be able to comment if I can improve on this idea or if I could inspire you to unlock the bests in the idea!
I have a health developemnt background and a flair for mHealth; so I believe we are birds of a feather!
Hi IRENE, Your idea sounds unique and it seems it can really work well if utilized and we can achieve MDGs vision 2015. Have you share this with other health related stakeholders/ I would like to catch up with you after this competition. Thanks,Lyne
Hello Lyne, thanks for your comment and vote. Yes, the idea can be globally utilized and information can be easily shared between all the stakeholders related to maternal/child illness health care. I am happy to train people on how to implement it. This is one of the convenient and fastest way of achieving MDGs agenda 4 and 5 for vision 2015. Did you get an update of the last meeting in New york, where agenda 4,5, and 6 seem it might hinder achieving vision 2015? Thanks, irene
Irene, what a great idea! Maternal and prenatal care is a huge issue in sub-Saharan Africa and one that is so avoidable. Using mobile phones to help remedy this is a wonderful idea. I admire all of the hard work you do for your country and your people.
hello Jenni, Thank you. This health issue is one of the area which contribute to poverty due to high mortality rate and some of the mothers die in their productive age. FP is also an issue in sub-saharan Africa where families have number of children more than the basic needs they can provide for them and this increase poverty rate. Thank you, irene
Hi, Irene your idea is great and especially for our pastoralist communities. Medical facilities are often stationed in one area. When families move in search for water and pasture these facilities are left behind. When women and children the most vulnerable groups fall in need medical services are often not available.
the new technology will conect the community with the medics and services will be provided at the right time.
The idea is appropriate and timely, and i encourage you to pursue it.

Love your idea Irene! All the best!
Can the idea be globally utilized and if given a chance, can you train people on how to go about it?
Keep it up. Thanks.
