What is the primary problem your venture is trying to address and how are you addressing it (or planning to address it)?
Clothes for poor families during the Ramadan feast which poor people cannot buy. & we collect the clothes from ourself like old clothes or clothes we dont ues it ,,,,then we washed then ironed it & put it in blastic bags then we Distributed it to the poor families ...
Project Description
drawing a smile on the face of poor people without any support and self funded
Unique and different
we changed the people understanding of giving poor people good shape and perfect look during the feast. we gather the clothes from all arround the place and we washed them, ironed them and packed them to look as a nice gift.
Project plan
we may repeat that project during the next feast in December and specially during the long cool winter days.
Partnerships
we are five partners and we met at the mercy corps as a volunteer and in "why not?" program. we took training of trainers course together. now, we are leaders of the group and we created that group of more than 25 youth. we have the same vision and dreams to do such ideas.
Impact
the lovely cheerful smile on the face of the poor people was our aim and we achieve it.
Effectiveness
60 families of about 400 beneficiaries in total. they are belonging to the poor community in different rural areas.
How do you engage and impact the community?
by caring, daring and thinking deeply on he need of this poor families we engaged. the community supported our ideas by donating their old unused clothes and new ones.
How do you measure this impact?
many calls and invitation for cooperation. many offers for donation and support. it really created a true call for help to poor people. the coordinator of "why not?" project offered us to cooperate by giving us clothes from abroad and not only limited to local sources.
Obstacles
there were no financial sources but our own pocket money. transportation was very difficult during the present political situation in Gaza. no finance to wash the clothes in dry-clean shop but we did the washing in our own houses and ironed it personally not using any help from any one.

i face problem on that really ..coz 2 know i dint found any financed support put i told my father 2 give me few many for tranportion and for Purchase digital camira for the project & we need 2 laptobs at least so we will do our best to do somethings from nothing..so it depen on our personal saves
Aside from financial sustainability, how do you plan to grow and sustain your project?
if we find fiancial support we will have larger group & have more that 30 youth we will make them more than 100 & alot of our frindz wants 2 join us but we have limit resources so we cant host more than 30..
Finance details
there was no financial sources as we stated but our own pocket money and personal savings. we are 30 youth people and 5 leaders among them who met in courses and same interest and the have the same vision and ideas. we named our group "Change Makers" and it was a shock for us that you guys have the same name and they really love it and share with the whole world to change for better life and for better community.
Creative funding
our own pocket money and personal savings, some friends helped in transportation.
Other non finance needs
transportation, more clothes, communication, computer, posters and illustrations, printed leaflets, balloons and decorations.
Motivation
the story was originally created when we took a photo essay course and training and one of the activities was to go down to streets and take photos of children while playing. the activity was really getting a great result and our team was the winner of the most stunning photos of all. so, during the activity, we noticed the children shape and clothes was dirty, old and unfit. they were barefooted and some of them is not waring properly. when we ask those kids about their situation, we was shocked of the facts that they are from poor community, jobless parents, no income and some of them have no parents and living with other friends or sister or brother or relatives. so we decided to create the idea of helping those people and motivated other team members to join and care as we are doing. so, it clicks, and worked. and here you go, we started it.

first we help more than 50 family &every family have 7 children at least.... sec.. we learned with our group that we get the happines from making others happy & smile..... third... alot of ppl was been happy for our idea & they was been very happy if we joined them in our group..
Ongoing
i like the venture work... and we will go on in this work and we prepare project in the next month which is around yala na'yd to find new families and help them who are live in bad sittution ... but before that we deiced 2 give our groups course about leadership & coummincation skilles then we will begin in this project & when we finish we will try to do project which aim to help youth coz we live in bad live we cant found any Entertainment or somthing can they be creative on it..
