Having received e PAP and started to feed Masisi Gumbe who weighed 28kg and was lying on death bed in her room after being sent back from hospital. Her daughter was 7 years old and watching her experiencing this agony was heartbreaking! And realizing what is going to happen to her now and when she reaches teenage stage……. Masisi made such a remarkable recovery that I decided that we, the whole world must take two steps back and save the mothers with E PAP and then we will have less orphans, because it really works.

Tell us about the social innovator behind this idea.

That we have to save mothers. We need them to look after their own children. That we can address mothers/children/orphans hunger. I am sure it is not nice to be the witness of a dying mother. We have to reach out to malnourished children, improve children’s mental development, social development and emotional development. That we can have more normal societies. Orphans are a tremendous social burden to any society. We must avoid it at all cost! The impact on the economy would be devastating all over the world especially in South Africa!

How did you first hear about Changemakers?

Through another organization or company

If through another, please provide the name of the organization or company
