Water Infrastructure or Planning / Community Mobilization

After having twice read through the description of Small Steps and Big Leaps, I see several mentions of the terms "water" and "implementing water infratructure", but I don't see anything about actually providing water infastructure to the numerous villages where they work.

Please clarify whether or not SSBL does or does not provide water infrastructure (e.g., dug wells, piped water, etc.), or if it is primarily involved in actvities such as community development, plannng, community mobilization, and sanitation.

Thanks in advance for the clarification.

Re to Water Infrastructure

Dear Mr. Rick,

Thank you for your querry.

Infact SSP has been mobilising community to access clean water, maintain personal and environmental hygeine in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Tamilnadu.

SSP motivates community to organise, operationalise and maintain the water and sanitation project with the help of Govt schemes and programmes, create a culture of clean village, eradicate open defecation etc.
Water infrastructure is addressed to set up and construct by Village sanitation committee and mobilise resources by own investment and accessing govt programmes.

If you need further details i can send you few documents how we are organising community in and around Health, Water and Sanitation.

Best Regards
Chandran
