Project Description:

We stayed for 3 weeks in Kosrae and for one week on Truk this year - December 2007 - January 2008. We feel in love with the island of Kosrae, the people of Kosrae and the beautiful reef system - the best we have seen in over 15 years of diving around the world.

Maria is nominating this project because:

Bruce and Katrina Adams who run the Kosrae Village Resort together with the Kosraen owners in Kosrae are wonderful, friendly, and knowledgable individuals. The resort is eco friendly to the extreme with lodgings manufactured from items on the island and in the style of early Kosraen buildings. There are bikes and kayaks and guides available to explore the many aspects of the island - on land and of course under the ocean. The reefs are great and alot of effort has been expended to ensure that the reefs don't get damaged by anchors, fishing, diving, etc. The island is beautiful and we grew to love so many people there because of their geniuine kind hearts and welcoming ways. Truly a paradise on earth.
