I am the project organiser for Kayzar Dance Brentwood Youth Hip Hop Project, which provides affordable hip hop workshops to the local community (particularly young people) in the area of Brentwood and surrounding areas.

Kayzar Dance formed Kayzar Dance Brentwood Youth Hip Hop Project to make a positive impact in the community of Brentwood and the surrounding areas by providing access to all aspects of hip hop, particularly dance, through Saturday hip hop workshops. The aims of the project are: To provide affordable hip hop workshops for the whole community, offering opportunity for those not normally able to take part in such activities. To provide access to hip hop dance styles primarily, but also other aspects of hip hop culture. To cater for everybody regardless of age, ability or background. To develop the skills and talents of participants within the hip hop dance style. To provide an engaging, fun and popular activity for all to enjoy. To provide an appealing alternative to anti social behaviour. The hip hop workshops primarily focus on hip hop dance styles, although the aim is to invite guest graffiti artists, mcs and djs throughout the year enabling participants to develop a wider understanding of, and gain an insight in to the hip hop culture as a whole. The hip hop workshops will be relaxed and friendly and everybody will have the opportunity to learn and develop as well as share ideas, skills and talents.To further encourage and inspire participants Kayzar Dance aims to hold twice yearly performances, as well as take part in local and national hip hop events in due course. Kayzar Dance Brentwood Youth Hip Hop Project is subsidised by Brentwood Borough Council allowing classes to be offered at a reduced rate. Those in receipt of income support, income based jobseekers allowance, or housing benefit also receive further reductions.
