Guillermo Ortega Rance

How Guillermo is a changemaker:

Grew up in Mexico surrounded with deep social/economic contrasts. Developed a drive to help, first in continuous hands-on social missions and then, 2-years volunteer in NGOs in Italy and Jerusalem. Realized that non-profit was a patch but not a definitive solution to social issues, studied an MBA and pointed towards innovation and entrepreneurship.

Guillermo feels a fondness and connection to:

I feel fondness and connection for the rural areas hidden among mountains and valleys all around Mexico. People living there are the beating heart of the country, struggling to live yet full of life and full of dreams that only need a small opportunity to come true.

Guillermo passionately wants to change:

I believe the source of most problems in Mexico (and most of Latin America) is the sharp social and economic contrast. Models should be found to reduce this contrast peacefully, finding convergence points, appealing to a higher sense of responsibility and humanity.
