All the best, The Changemakers Team
“What a great initiative! This is tremendously important and ameliorative because it’s not aiming to be the “solution” or the “magic food” while ignoring the underlying problems. This initiative demonstrates major impact and deals with an important issue of avoiding blindness through orange planting and consumption while also focusing on women’s leadership within the community.”
”This initiative seems to be experienced and effective with impressive outcomes. In the school feeding programs, which is a major focus of this entry’s program, the typical carbohydrate foods served, such as the sema corn-based, millet-based porridges are often so void in nutrition that this initiative’s initiative makes a major difference not only in diet diversification but also in nutritional adequacy. Well done!”
- Changemakers “Cultivating Innovations: Solutions for Rural Communities” Judges: TED, General Mills, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, StuffedandStarved.org, Instituto de Pesquisas Ecológicas (Institute for Ecological Research).
