“This was a great initiative with clear, specific metrics with defined outcomes. I believe the vertical integration of farmers will have significant impact. This is a initiative with huge numbers of beneficiaries. The idea of collective empowerment through community owned network/enterprises sounds great but I would like to know more about the plans for sustainability.
“The most exciting part of the initiative was branding concept. I thought that was truly innovative because it transitioned the end-goal of farming from one solely based around higher prices and self sufficiency in order to meet and exceed market demands to one that added an important element of negotiation power and ownership of the supply chain. This initiative empowers the producer. I would like to see something initiative replicated!”
