there is a significant demand for goat milk base product in Srilanka as it is well known as a medicinal food product for children and elders. further in regarding the sustainability a female goat will give 1 ltr of milk that gives them around 1 us$ that will ehlp them to purchase their daiy requirement. In the newly settled areas after the ethinic confilct ,it is a hgihly viable house hold income generation activitiy for the poor to over come poverty as well as malnutrition. Hence milkin goat rearing would be an idaeal secondary income generation activityof themarginalized communities.

“Great work! The idea of having goats in small properties seem to be a great one as it will provide continuous nutrition and improve life conditions for the under-privileged. The initiative, however, seems to be still in its early stages, so I would like to know more about plans for sustainability. Specifically, I would like to know more about the current market demand of goat products in Sri Lanka. This was creative, and I would like to see this initiative succeed!”
